GFCI Outlets

Protect against accidental electrocution

Ground-fault circuit interrupters (GFCI) is an electrical outlet with an extra line of defense against electrocution. A GFCI immediately removes electricity from the circuit when it detects a difference in the amount of energy passing through and returning back to the device. It's recommended by Amtec Electric that you consider installing GFCI's throughout your home to make it a much safer place.

There are places where GFCI's are required. See the link below and call Amtec Electric today for more information on ground-fault circuit interrupters.

Remember, electrical wiring is not a hobby! Many of the serious problems we see are code violations in wiring installed by a "do-it-yourself-er" or homeowner with some advice from "the guy at the hardware store." These problems often come to light when a property is being sold and a real estate inspector requires expensive repairs. They can also be a fire, safety, or electrocution hazard.
